Marvel Movie Upcoming Release
1. Black Panther : Movie
Date : Feb. 16, 2018
Marvel has assembled a team worthy of royalty for Black Panther, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular king of Wakanda. Ryan Coogler is directing the film, which also stars his Creed lead Michael B. Jordan as the villain Killmonger, as well as Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia) and The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira (Okoye). Boseman’s hero was first introduced in Civil War, which ended with him providing asylum for Bucky/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

2. Jessica Jones Season 2
Date : March. 8, 2018
Yes, we know, this is a TV show and not a movie, but Marvel’s Neflix shows are just so cinematic, and the first season of Jessica Jones was so amazing, and you deserve something to get you through the wait between Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, that we just had to include this.

3. Avengers: Infinity War : Movie
Date : May 4, 2018
Thanos (Josh Brolin) will get up from his chair and take on the Avengers himself, and judging from the first footage shown at D23, it’s going to be intense (and even involve Thanos using a moon to fight the Avengers). The Russo Bros. are returning to followup Civil War with the film that takes its name from the six-issue Marvel Comics series, published in 1992.

4. Ant-Man and the Wasp : Movie
Date : May 4, 2018
Hope van Dyne/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) will finally suit up as a hero in her own right for the followup to Ant-Man, which will once again be directed by Peyton Reed and star Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man. It’s almost certain the film will further explore the quantum realm — which we briefly saw in Ant-Man and in which Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) wife Janet van Dyne was lost years ago. Janet will be introduced to the MCU with Michelle Pfeiffer playing the classic hero, and Laurence Fishburne playing Bill Foster (who in the comics has taken up the mantle of several heroes, including Giant-Man).

5. Venom : Movie
Date : October 5, 2018
There are conflicting reports about whether or not this will have any ties at all to Spider-Man: Homecoming, let alone the MCU (this one is purely a Sony production). We’re only including it here to be on the safe side for now. Tom Hardy will star as Eddie Brock, and Ruben Fleischer is directing, from a script by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
6. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse : Movie
Date : December 14, 2018
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
7. Silver & Black : Movie
Date : Febuary 8, 2019
While news on the Silver & Black front has been dry in recent months, a new report not only affirms the idea that it’s still on the table, but gives a specific date for when the cameras of the Gina Prince-Bythewood-directed Marvel movie will start rolling.
8. Captain Marvel Movie
Date : March 8, 2019
Brie Larson is going back to the ’90s to step into the role of Carol Danvers, who in the comic is a hotshot pilot who gains alien powers after an accident. The film from directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck takes place in the past, which will allow Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to be part of the movie without the eye patch. Even more intriguing, the villains will be the Skrulls, an alien race with a rich history in the comics. Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve penned the script.
8. Untitled ‘Avengers 4’ Movie
Date : May 3, 2019
The Russo Brothers are directing a fourth Avengers title (previously going by the name Avengers: Infinity War — Part II). Not much is known about this project, other than the Russos have said it’s very different from Avengers: Infinity War, which is why this film won’t share a name with their third installment.
